The Amrita Edge

At Amrita, students don’t just aim sky high. They aim beyond it. With the Amrita Edge, even the sky is not the limit. Here we present some of our students who have made us proud with their achievements.

Academics

Ms. Amritaprasad, Amrita Vidyalayam, Kozhikode A National Talent scholar, Amrita passed out in May 2007, securing 93% in the Standard XII exam. At present she is pursuing an engineering degree in Avionics at the prestigious Indian Institute of Space and Technology, ISRO Complex, Thiruvananthapuram. She is one among only four candidates selected from Kerala for this course.

All Kerala (Cluster VI) CBSE Inter School Volley Ball Championship 2007-08,
Runner-up team.

Amrita Vidyalayam students are given ample opportunities to train and whet their skills in sport. Amrita Vidyalayam Kodungallur participated enthusiastically in the
All Kerala (Cluster VI) CBSE Inter School Volley Ball Championship 2007–08, and came up as the runner-up team.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Perumbavoor bagged the overall championship for the Boy’s Section in the CBSE South Zone Inter School Judo Competition 2007-08, with 62 points, held at Amrita Vidyalayam, Thalassery, on the 10th and 11th of Oct ‘07.

The students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysore, were the Runner-ups in the CBSE National Level Table Tennis Championship, held at Meridian School for Boys and Girls, Hyderabad, from the 3rd to 7th December 2007, where students from seven different countries participated.

Co-Curricular Activities

Amrita Vidyalayam, Perumbavoor, scored the highest points for the music competitions conducted by the Stallions International Children’s Fest 2007-08.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysore, participated and won several prizes for the cultural and literary competitions and games conducted by All India Institutes of Speech and Hearing, on the occasion of Open Day and World Day of the Disabled 2007-08.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysore won the 1st prize and a rolling Shield in the
Inter School Essay Writing Competition held at Marimallappa High School, Mysore.

Vinay G Yadav, VII std of Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysore, won the 1st place in Drawing competition conducted by Lions Club of Mysore.
