A Day in the Heights: A Visit to Mount Opera

Finally.... After days of anticipation, counting off the days in front of the calendar every morning, the day had arrived. A visit to the scenic amusement park on Mount Opera, with the kids favorite teachers as guides. What more could they ask?

The children of class III to V, with smiles as big as their tiny faces could accommodate, started assembling in the school early morning. Their enthusiasm was infectious and was rubbing off on the teachers and parents as well. Children with their kits stuffed with yummies, games and toys were all keyed up and raring to go.

The cool and clear air atop the hill with the delicious smell of goodies wafting from the food stalls, the game counters, all together made the children rush in glee.

The children let down all their inhibitions under the watchful eyes of their teachers and reveled in delight for the day. It was a day of innocence, when the children forgot the existence of the world for sometime, and the teachers were reminded of their own such days under the sun.
